Steeped in history, The Wembley Hotel, established in 1932 was the first two storey building in Wembley, the beautiful historic Federation and Art Deco building has been classified by the National Trust for its architectural significance.
The history of The Wembley Hotel has been well documented over the years and its beginnings saw many a traveller come to visit. The Wembley was the terminus tram stop before holiday makers would make their way down the old Plank Road, now known as Oceanic Drive, to the beach. Plank Road was the first road built from Perth to the beach.
The Wembley has always been a popular place to meet with locals and visitors alike and is ingrained as an industry icon. Over the years, The Wembley has evolved to be one of Perth’s greatest iconic neighbourhood bars.

Someone Asked for the Manager
There have been a lot of changes at The Wembley lately, we have a new Management Team, headed by our accomplished General Manager Pierre-Elie Anglade. Pierre has come to us from some of Perth’s hottest bars and restaurants and he has hand selected a team of hospitality professionals to complement our new look.
New Kid in the Kitchen
We are very pleased to welcome on board our new Head Chef, Jeramiah (Jerry) Schoemaker, of Lot 20 fame. Jerry comes to us with a massive range of experience with an emphasis on using top quality, fresh local produce. Some of Jerry’s highlights include working at a Michelin rated restaurant in Barcelona, a 2 Chefs Hat Restaurant in Melbourne, Perth’s Small Bar of the Year and a Gold Plate Award winning restaurant in Perth. Jerry is extremely well regarded in the industry and we are very lucky to have him on board. We are very excited to be onboard with the Buy West Eat Best program, this is a great WA initiative, and Jerry is a proud supporter of West Australian Brands, people and produce.
